Software development
Applications, APIs, integrations and automation. Work can start with a defined feature, an existing codebase that needs attention, or an early product that needs technical direction.
Example engagements
Codebase assessment
One application or service; review of structure, dependencies, tests and deployment. Includes a walkthrough, a written assessment and a prioritised implementation plan.
Implementation, a full security assessment and large multi-repository estates are scoped separately.
API or workflow integration
One defined workflow connecting up to two existing systems. Includes implementation, error handling, tests, deployment support and handover notes.
Vendor subscriptions, extensive data cleanup and undocumented legacy interfaces may change the estimate.
Product development sprint
An agreed set of application features or a small prototype. Includes development, review, testing and a working demonstration with your team.
A complete production product, ongoing support and substantial design work require a separate scope.
For smaller advisory or implementation work: CAD $175–$225 per hour, or $1,250–$1,600 per day. Any minimum engagement is agreed in advance. Timing assumes timely access and feedback; it is not a guaranteed start date.
What you receive
- Working code in your repository
- Tests for the agreed behaviour
- Deployment and configuration notes
- Handover and a review of remaining work
How the work starts
We review the current code and define a small, testable outcome. We estimate that scope, work in reviewable increments, and demonstrate the result before handover.
Useful when you need implementation capacity, a difficult integration, or an experienced developer to investigate an unfamiliar system.
Discuss a project
Send a brief description of the work, your current system and any relevant constraints. We can arrange a conversation to define the scope.
